Creation of system secruity sites at the “vostochny” space center within the framework of implementing the federal special program for “development of russian space centers for the period 2006-2015”.

Project objective::

Perform a series of tasks to create a single territorially distributed integrated security system in the Space Center positional area with the creation of a single user base, a centralized organization for issuing access authorizations, as well as centers for space center-wide and local monitoring and surveillance. The project is being performed for the Russian Federal Space Agency

TASKS PERFORMED:

Developing conceptual materials to analyze the vulnerability of sites within the Space Center’s ground infrastructure.
Conducting 2-phase planning (the initial and detailed design phases).
Creating security perimeters for sectors and internal local zones, and fitting them out with security equipment.
Fitting out controlled access points with screening equipment and for counterterrorist protection.
Fitting out buildings and structures within sectors with alarm systems, controlled access and television monitoring equipment.
Creating communications networks and cabling systems within sectors.
Conducting a series of tasks to create a backup protected inter-sector telecommunications network.
Conducting organizational and engineering measures to provide information security.
Delivering, installing and putting into production standard data entry and processing system equipment.
Manufacture and delivery of technical integrated security system equipment.

KEY SPECIFICS:

The building and assembly tasks to create the integrated security system for the Space Center’s surface infrastructure were performed in difficult climatic conditions and to a tight schedule. State-of-the-art, innovative and highly effective technologies from the security industry, engineering systems, automation systems and IT were used in the project.

Performed the role of General Contractor in the implementation of the project; project management methods and technologies were introduced and are being used.
